Course Description:

Students will develop an in-depth understanding of the Internet and essential Web page development skills using Extensible HTML, and incorporating images, hyperlinks, tables, forms and frames. Students will learn to write code manually, as well as use GUI authoring tools. Industry certification competencies will be used for this course.

Prerequisite: Completed iT Fundamentals with A/B and in Algebra 1 or Advanced Computer Math with a C or better

DE=Dual Enrollment. *Update: This class will not be offered as DE enrollment class of the 2018-19 school year. Students should be 11th or 12th graders for enrollment into NOVA.  This course requires students to meet certain standards in order to receive college credit. Grading and work progression follow the NOVA standards and guidelines. (Note: DE classes require an application with NOVA to take courses.  Please see your counselor for more details) (Note: Students will not be able to get credit for this class if the have already taken Design/WebTec)

If you are interested in networking, coding, and security this class is designed for you. If you are planning on taking this class I suggest having a firm background in networking and acquiring time management skills.
